History shall record these words in gold that the country's enemies can kill as many people as they wish, the motherland's soil shall give birth to new heroes.

This is a story of the Independence era when our country gave birth to a brave man Dilawar Singh (Dharmendra) who had hatred for the British and a desire to sacrifice his life for the motherland.
Dilavar Singh continued to fight the war for freedom. The British called him a 'Traitor' and the public called him a saviour.

Soon the country was independent and there was joy everywhere. But, Dilawar Singh saw that inspite of independence the plight of the people had not changed. The atrocities committed by the British were now being carried out by the Thakurs and the Zamindars. The poor were being oppressed and the women were ill-treated, the children were orphaned... so the weapon which at one time Dilawar Singh had raised against the British, he raised it now against the enemies of the country. Now he had a new name: Dacait.

Was Dacait successful in his mission?

To see how he conquered the evil people- see 'Dacait'.
